Association JuRep 2.0
In today’s world, there are numerous points of contact with social media in everyday life. The course sensitises young people to the dynamic media world by providing social inputs. The dangers and opportunities are addressed in group sessions, which also serve as a forum for debating the various facets of Instagram and other platforms. Journalists show the young people tips and tricks for writing articles and they learn what questions make an interview exciting. Their digital media skills are further developed through the input of students from the FH Graubünden University of Applied Sciences. The future youth reporters learn to produce and later edit videos competently.
When the participants have successfully completed the week, they are qualified to work as freelance youth reporters. This allows them to achieve valuable experience, brings them into contact with various people from different fields and enables them to creatively pursue their own ideas. When they have been with the project for a longer period of time, we involve the participants in the support work for the new youth reporters. Through this task, they succeed in passing on their knowledge and gain self- confidence for future challenges.
In addition, school project weeks are offered outside the summer holidays. The class is encouraged to pick its own topics and report on them in small groups. During the week, they learn how to produce multimedia content and can show to all interested people in a final presentation on a big stage.
JuRep 2.0 does important educational work in the field of digital media competence. To this end, we prepare an instructive environment for young people on various media-related subject areas.
