For the 50th anniversary of our foundation we published the book «Uplift - The history of the Stanley Thomas Johnson Foundation 1969 - 2019». On 208 pages, the book offers an insight into our funding activities and provides an unusually open view of the history and work of our foundation.

Jubilee event
On 21. June 2019 the Johnson Foundation celebrated its 50th anniversary with an event for 200 invited guests at the Dampfzentrale Bern. Moderator Christine Hubacher hosted the lively programme, including panel discussions and lectures that gave insight into the foundation’s various activities. The Bernese ensemble off off aerial dance and studio-klangraum from Basel conceived a joint performance especially for the event.
Jubilee Exhibition
To mark the 50th anniversary of the Johnson Foundation, a poster installation with 10 large-scale images from supported organizations was exhibited from 19 – 28 August 2019 on the Casinoplatz in Bern. From female musicians of the Bernese Jazzwerkstatt to minesweepers in Angola, the posters provided unusual insights into our support sectors: culture, humanitarian aid, medical research and education.
